Located near historic Revere Beach in Revere, Massachusetts, and surrounded by architectural grandeur, Friendly Garden Co-op is a 7-story, 107 unit senior community designed for resident members aged 62+. In addition, there are a limited number of mobility impaired units available to those who qualify over the age of 18. Friendly Garden Co-op is nationally recognized as A Community of Quality by the National Affordable Housing Association. The property was completed in 1985.
Friendly Garden Co-op Apartments has come to be a healthier and safer environment to live in by becoming 100% smoke free. Smoking is not allowed within the individual apartments, the common areas, and within 25 feet of the building. This building also has a Resident Service Coordinator who assists its members with an array of services from helping members complete forms, assisting to schedule medical appointments, getting organizations to do talks, seminars and other wellness programs that are beneficial for the members.
Members in this community enjoy participating in many activities, including bingo, card games and ice cream socials just to name a few. Friendly Garden Co-op is surrounded by restaurants, various grocery stores, shopping malls and flower shops; you can never run out of things to do! But most importantly, the building's location is just a few minutes' drive to the first ever US public beach! And if you are up for a good walk, it is only 15 minutes away! Resident members also enjoy bus stops just steps away from their front door and across the street. The T blue line is also accessible from the beach if you feel like going elsewhere conveniently.
Friendly Garden Co-op is affordable for everyone. Every unit has subsidy and resident members only pay 30% of their income for rent which includes heat, AC, and cold/hot water. Our building is also equipped with over 30 cameras scattered in and out of the building for additional security. The front door is accessible using a key fob which our members are the only one authorized to have and use. We have in-house maintenance personnel for minor troubleshooting in apartments and a cleaner to ensure cleanliness in common areas.
As part of our precautionary measures, we have an Emergency Response Personnel who lives in the building and is on-call from 7pm to 7am in cases of immediate assistance for minor and basic trouble shooting of apartment issues.
